coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/21/2018 06:29 am The devices are not enlarged. It is Machine Doubling. Look for the doubling on the tops of the devices. I have here a 1982-D nickel with enlarged letters on reverse, a 1983-P nickel with enlarged letters on the obverse... just using these to see and compare my thoughts with your knowledge in hopes I can grasp a bit better...
