This coin looks like it has several cracks. I think there's something else on the eagles chest. Any help appreciated.

Lots of minor die cracks. On the eagles' chest are rim dings from other coins. Above the word DOLLAR might be a struck through a rim burr.

Interesting quarter. The die is not far from breaking !
Are some of those marks gouges or strike through ?

I don't know that any of the marks were gouges. I really don't know what a strike through is. I'm really new at this. Thank you everyone. Your time and knowledge is truly appreciated.

CoopHome : is a quick thread to look for explanations of different subjects. Just click on the blue first word of the post. It will take you there. If it opens to page two, a lot of thread I've created are on that page. There are hundreds of images there with an explanation of what your seeing there. It could take a long time to read them all, but you will advance your coin knowledge quickly read this information. Again CoopHome

Those are some really extensive cracks for a late-date Washington. The coin is pretty beat-up from circulation but it's a nice find just for the die cracks.
