Is this a D over S penny? I put an S on the D in one of the pictures to give perspective of what I'm looking at.

That is just grit into the center of the mint mark. Not copper colored. You can see the same thing on the date as well. That grit doesn't make the date a doubled die, so why would it make an 'D' over 'S'?
