But one of the rarest ones in there is not exactly in great shape. At least AU details but... It's the big goob above the date that most concerns me as surely it will eat a big hole soon enough. And lots of spots with minor corrosion that aren't bad right now but also likely not to improve over time. The staining doesn't bother me at all, it's the corrosion I am concerned about. Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 12/20/2018 11:31 am I have looked through countless 1983 D's searching for that one. That is an awesome find! Congratulations on that one my friend! I have used a mixture of white vinegar and salt only on the shield cents to help get rid of or tamper down dark spots with the aid of a soft tooth brush and only about five seconds on both sides.
