i guess a new pillow costs maybe $10 or so, maybe a little less. so that was a good score. I slept a solid 5-6 hours for the first time in many weeks/months.

'pillow' has been added to the growing list of cool & useful stuff I've scored so far this year. cycle 17 almost up to $220.

i am happy to report that the pillow works well.

tonight I had my best night since december 16 last year ($10.07), scoring $4.58, $2.58 of which in abundant, well-scattered change, and:

a pair of wild bucks! the first one was damp & sticky and got a bath when I returned to the depot. you can see in the picture that it had taken on some moisture.

i spotted the second buck-- under the bush & behind the post-- as I was walking away with the first one. the kitty wasn't there, so I had to wrangle both of them by myself. I managed without the kitty, but I chalked them up to her anyway.... I found her there on my return pass an hour later.

huge score tonight, I was way overdue for it.

yes, Hondo, I grapple with that thought, too. nights like tonight used to be more common, but now they are extremely infrequent. patience pays.

Hopefully that wet and sticky one wasn't by a fire hydrant

LOL! it wasn't, thankfully.. the culprit was a dropped beverage, I'm glad to say.. looked like a coffee or similar..

well that is a good thing

yes, maybe one of the best things. (of course I have stories & observations)

tonight was definitely a good night, I picked $1.43 in well-scattered change and along the way home at roughly 2:15am I scored a bag of Ruffles potato chips. someone had to have dropped it, it was just lying on the sidewalk along the boulevard right in front of me. I knew what it was as I cruised up to it. I stopped, parked the bike, nabbed the bag to investigate: it was unopened & undamaged, tho' i'd wager some chips suffered breakage when the bag hit the sidewalk... expiration date july 26, 2024, price: $5.99... into the bike basket & away I went.

so a nice pocketful of change and free chips
