there must be people pickin' cash & coins nearly everywhere, which logically means that cash & coins are being tossed nearly everywhere. I'm in on only a mere fraction of the action.
my finds this past week have been on the minimal side due to all the rain, but the increased cloud cover this week equates to a much cooler apartment for cat & i, so it's not all bad. it is the rainy season now, after all. we haven't had the crazy flooding that miami (& probably surrounding areas) has had, but it's been enough to shorten my searches & diminish my nightly totals. I still manage to find & feed my street cats, though.

My only street find this week was a recent-date 5 pence piece in a parking lot.

Quote: Be glad you get rain MrPink - we haven't had a drop in months now no complaints here, we badly needed the rain. now we are saturated for a while. which means i'll have a bunch of trimming & clipping to do in the yards, everything is gonna fluff-up with new growth.

there it is, a little cruddy, but so what... it'll go into the small bag of coins that'll get passed along to my buddy's granddaughter. interestingly, the last old coin I picked from the streets was also a '48... on May 3rd, I found a 1948-D jeffie.

tonight I picked a meager thirty-nine cents, but I also scored a brand-spankin'-new pillow. a regular-sized new pillow for the bed. it was in a shopping cart in the parking lot of the pillow store. I rolled up to it and exclaimed out loud to myself, 'that is a brand-spankin'-new pillow!' I dismounted the bike & parked it so I could investigate; wow, not a mark on it, nothing wet, no stains, and it still smelled like the inside of the store. someone left a brand-spankin'-new pillow. it passed my initial inspection, being new there wasn't much to inspect, so I quickly crammed it down into my bike basket. the bike basket really comes in handy. so, I have a new pillow and I'm gonna give it a test run tonight. I will have to investigate a retail price tomorrow. I have no idea what a new pillow sells for. will get a pic tomorrow.
