Quote: Here's MrPink that's a very old picture of me, I wonder where Hondo dug that up... I still had some hair then! I don't have much hair anymore nor do I still have the suit... my chauffeuring gig provided the suit, but I discovered it was no good to wear while raking dollars off the lawn, it was constricting, cumbersome, itchy and hot, and it attracted a lot of cat hair... I found that rake, too, by the way, three years ago (i still have it), it was leaning up against a utility pole a couple blocks from my place, it stood there for two or three nights (big surprise) before I snatched it...

last night I scavenged a well-scattered $1.72, the bulk of which was quarters... three from a parking space, two from a different parking space and one from a water machine coin return. three consecutive $1+ nights is good for the process.

yes yes... last night's pickins was the 16th night of the month of $1+, meaning more than half of the days of the month were $1+, with two nights left in it. that is a significant improvement in nightly finds, which I cannot explain. chalk it up to kitty karma, I guess. it continues to pile up.

Well done, MrPink! Funnily enough, today in my home town I found 21 pence on the ground - a 1p and a 20p. The 20p was dated 2022 - I got my first 2022 20p in change only yesterday!

Quote: The 20p was dated 2022 - I got my first 2022 20p in change only yesterday! better late than never, I guess... tonight I picked $1.56 after picking just sixty-something cents last night. it all adds up. it was a decent month even without the wad of cash two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I picked at least $30 in just change this month. all of the $1+ nights added up to $26+. 3 weeks and 6 days until black friday. november is finally here. there's gonna be some metals, I can hardly wait. edit, several minutes later... i just flipped the calendar page to november... it's that time: daylight savings time ends tomorrow (sunday). fall back 1 hour. far out... fall is officially here. feels like fall, too. two huge weather forces sucked away all the energy, heat & humidity from our region: a large cold front to the north and a monster hurricane to the south. what a relief. summer 2025 is done.
