I was complaining to Mr Pink that I hadn't found anything in weeks , well yesterday it was 32 cents and today it was 86 cents.

last night I picked $1.01 and the night before last I picked $1.46. amazing. I'm approaching the 8 year-mark with this project. 8 years... through covid, and now when I scroll through you tube I see lots of videos of people complaining about how expensive life has become. I concur; inflation is eating away at the dollar's purchasing power, for sure, but it boggles my brain that I'm still picking coins & currency off the ground. oh well, it is adding to my stash, so no complaints here.

If they don't want it, keep raking it in, MrPink! I think that kids these days don't see coins as actual money, and are nonchalant about them.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

i will, Hondo. lost or tossed, it matters not to me. I think I'm doing the best thing that I can do with all the recovered coins & currency. a bull market for metals during this time is the icing on the cake. the timing is ridiculous, I'm sure that I couldn't have done this any better. i encourage the practice of pitching zincolns and FRNs. the better for me (and maybe you, too).

Heck! somebody need s to be out there picking up all that random discarded metal rounds, If you don't the area would just be littered with unwanted money.

Quote: somebody needs to be out there picking up all that random discarded metal rounds, If you don't the area would just be littered with unwanted money. exactly. no one wants to slip on an errant zincoln and hurt themselves. I'm doing the island a big favor and in return the island does me the same... and converting debt into savings is fun. converting base metal & paper into Au/Ag is fun. I'm hoping the recent metals pullback lasts several more weeks so that I can cash in on black friday sales and xmas sales. cycle 18's completion is going to drag on for a while. I'm in no real rush.
