yeah, that's pretty much how I feel each night when I load my pockets with errant coins. it adds up. tonight I scavenged another $1.24, added to the $1.21 I found earlier--- $2.45.. $3.93 away from the milestone, I may hit it in the next few days...

.....and, by the way, that gallon of 2% milk I scored the other night was not spoiled, it smells fine & tastes the way it should.

so, I scored a free gallon of milk. excellent

time for a bowl of muesli for breakfast

last night I found $1.06 in well-scattered change. a bit on the paltry side, but I scored more than a dollar.. it's fine. not a complaint, just an observation. I've made it into a bit of a game, or maybe a challenge: try to find at least a dollar a night. most of the time I can. it's oddly similar to the money-finding aspect of GTA San Andreas.

$2.87 to go...

...so, going into last night I needed just $2.87 to reach a milestone, and I didn't reach it. strangely enough, I found only eighty-seven cents, so going into tonight I need just $2.00 to reach the milestone... since it rained at 7pm I do not expect to find much tonight. enough rain and zero wind means the standing water will just stand, and the pavements will still be wet, wet enough to be a visual impediment to pickin coins.

...maybe i'll find an errant benjamin floating in a puddle instead... hmm...

indeed it is. I have this framework in my head, pertaining to nightly finds:

$0.00--- lame
$0.01-$0.50--- better than $0.00, but not by much
$0.51-$0.99--- better than under $0.50, but could be better
$1.00 & up--- now we're talkin...
dollar coins & FRNs---

LOL

a rare report from the field:

Post-Your-Stories-&-Pix-Of-Found-Money

between the shadows, stones & leaves I almost didn't see it...

I've picked $1.02 so far tonight, one more kitty to feed & most of the route to cover... $0.98 to go...

has been reached.

i began this weird trip five and a half years ago, picking up every coin & FRN that I found, saving it and eventually trading it in for treasure.

by my crude estimation I have topped the $2,500-mark. that is total street money-finds over 5-1/2 years. tonight I scored $2.03, which put me over the mark by Three Cents. that dollar bill was supposed to be a benjamin, tho...

for this cycle I'm at $120.03. I was lamenting to helder earlier in the evening that it'll probably be another 6-8 weeks of finding & saving until I'm ready to trade-in my accumulated $treet $timulu$ for some treasure.

...for 22-1/2 years I had been unknowingly () walking & biking past a small fortune anywhere I went. glad I caught on eventually.

there's more out there, so here's looking forward to the next $2,500. maybe it'll arrive sooner than 5-1/2 years...

I follow this thread and regularly email mr pink I am still amazed at how much money is out there. I haven't posted on here lately as my finds have been pretty low (best was yesterday at 27 cents) but I make deposits with the found money and last month I deposited $16.50, still took 2 months but it all adds up. Since I'm walking the dog anyway why not pick up what I find?

What's surprising is that the same routes usually yield money when none was there the day before.
