Hard to tell from those pictures, but it looks like it has been cleaned. VF 35 details. A good way to compare is to scroll through the images on this link. You'll have to scroll way down to find a comparable example.

VF35 details. coin appears to have been cleaned. this will affect value, however, it is a rarer coin and will bring a decent price. I think its still north of $1000

Thanks everyone for the help!! I'm pretty new to coins, tho the morgan has always caught my eye in antique shops. When I purchased the 1889-CC, I was able to negotiate a "uncirculated" 1896-O for free!! I highly doubt it's uncirculated much less a MS62 as stated. What are yalls opinion on the 1896-O? Not the best pics but the best I could do.

89CC - VF details cleaned
96 O - AU details cleaned
Both the coins have the look of being cleaned/polished. On the 89CC you may want to consider sending in to TPG for grading to confirm it is genuine as there are so many key date fakes. The mint mark and date position appears correct on the 89CC.
