Hey guys, I came across this penny from 1991 no mint mark. There are so many dots and a couple of die breaks. The coin has a super rainbow tone to it. Are all these dots at the mint or is this caused by some weird experiment? Any advise is appreciated!

The dots are a plating problem the mint has. It is trapped "dust" between the copper plating and the zinc core. John1

Lol, it's ugly. Although I believe the toning is natural.
Is this worth anything?

I got lucky the other day from my bank they had $40 worth of pennies.
On this batch I found quiet a few US pennies. 2 wheats thus far and this coin was in the roll.

You're lucky they gave those out to you. Most won't as they are not supposed to.

Yeah, very lucky. I think it was one of those "right place right time" also the right questions:) Happy holidays and Merry Xmas to all!

Yeah didn't think much of it except the bad job at the mint production.
Thanks for the input!
