This is not a 1955 DDO FS-101 or FS-102 this coin exibits Die Deterioration Doubling. This causes the devices to expand as the die is worn away. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/24/2018 8:06 pm Very common one to find. I Bought a tube of 1955 cents at a coin show and 19 out of 50 were like these. No extra value for them. They are just a very tired die. In the tubes the 19 found were most all from different dies. So it happened over and over on these dies. Report this Post to the Staff
