Here's a second Wheat I pulled for grading. It will be a RB? but with so many nicks on the obverse I wonder what grade this can make? Thanks for giving it a look. Oh, and pictures 3&4 are with the airtite open. (PS - is the Image optimizer working real "slooooow" for anybody else? Or is it just on my end?)

EF/AU range. Nice coin! ! I seem to be having issues with the optimizer as well. Can't seem to get the pictures as big as I would like.

Well Shootsky - may have a Verdi-Care bath in it's future. Thanks for pointing that out!

No Problem, also treat the left side of the stalk and then give it an acetone soak, it appears to have an old fingerprint of grime on the reverse

I'd say AU55. It is Brown with a touch of Red remaining to my eyes.

The color is so different. Don't know that this will come back as a straight grade.

My first impression was AU-55. I would like to say RB, but it would probably grade BN. I think it would straight grade in this state. Nice.

If there is an old fingerprint, it is not coming off with acetone. Also, from what I recall, acetone will remove any remaining protective layer of Verdi-Care on the coin, so I don't recommend acetone after Verdi-Care. Personally, I would leave this coin be.

AU/MS details (cleaned). Color is unnatural, and I can almost guarantee it won't straight grade.

Would have to be an older cleaning as I think I got this one at least 13 years ago.

Hope I'm wrong, but that mottled appearance is typical of a re-toning coin.

Wonder how it was cleaned? I'll be in the grave before I will get rid of it so I'll let the next guy worry about it!
Rest in Peace

With acloco and coinfrog . Color just not right , could be a details coin . In my opinion this coin has too many issues going against it .

Appears to be mint state, possible old, light cleaning. TPG's would probably not like it - agree with frog. Nonetheless, I think it's a nice example that can have a little forgiveness considering it's a low mintage key. If on the market, it would certainly sell.
