Thinking about purchasing this one. Light porosity on obverse and lines on reverse. They don't seem to be scratches I don't think as they don't go through all the leaves on the reverse? Any thoughts and grades would be appreciated. As well as designations.

Pics are kind of dark and blurry, hard to tell much.

Yes this coin is quite dark. I am definitely struggling. Here are a couple more. The reverse doesn't seem to be a lot better. Obverse maybe.

moderate corrosion. probably was like that before striking. I think it might make AG03 details. as for the lines on the back, I'm confused as they do look like scratches but why they don't go through the leaves is beyond me

I'm sure scratches did go through the leaves at one time - just worn down on the high points

Even so at AG enough of the date is still there to tell the year

I'd call it FR-02 at best.
As for the porosity, it could be, at least in part, the nature of the original planchet.
The production process for planchets back then was often somewhat primitive.

For a lot of us who can only afford lower grades in this series; it's a nice obverse for what it is. FR-02, but some lettering, most of the bust outline, some cap and hair details, enough of a 4 to make out the date, doesn't appear to have been cleaned. I would have 0 issue with having this in my entry level collection.

I can see it holdered in a straight AG-3. Barely. Nice coin.

I spent some time trying to attribute it, but was unable to - not enough detail left for me to pin it down.
Maybe Conder101 can do it.
I agree with AG03, but just barely.
