I am combing through my nickel collection and weighing some of my transitional coins . I have a 1943 p weighing 4.75 grams. Is that typical. I also have a 1944 p weighing 4.85 grams. I weighed my 1942 just to check my scales accuracy and the 1942 weighs in right at 5 grams. Any reasons you can think of the discrepancies in weights and do you think they would be worth additional certification review?

.19 grams +/- is the mint tolerance http://goccf.com/t/251134#2113155
5 grams in the norm,+/- .19 grams.
You may want to buy a calibrated weight from ebay just to make sure your scale is accurate.
