I have a stash of B/U memorial rolls and every once in a while I pull one out and see what's in it. Yesterday I grabbed a roll and it turned out to be 1959-P. For years like this, with some decent DDRs, I usually will look at the reverse of the first 10 coins or so and see if I can score a DDR. If I find one, I check the rest of the roll for more. This roll had six or seven of these in it, and so after sticking one in my collection took some images of this one to post. Sadly, my images of DDRs are not so good, as think the doubling looks better than I could capture. It's like every letter needs to be angled differently to the light to see it best. The image of the die scratch above PLURIBUS shows the best die marker for this variety in stage B. 1959 Lincoln Memorial cent DDR-006      As a New Year's present, the first person to send me a PM with the subject line "TO THE BAT CAVE" will be given the exact coin pictured for free, including shipping.
