I need a little help determining if this is a true 1989 with a 1988 reverse. Thanks.

Looks like you might have it. Can we get a full reverse picture? Thanks.

Impossible. The dies were retired in 1988. They were so short they had to start using the next years reverse new design dies. Note the location the 'FG':

Oh, Right! I completely forgot about that! That's why the variety even exists.
Mr Coop is correct.
Sorry Catmech67. Good luck and happy hunting!

I say it is possible though highly improbable. Can you show us both the obverse and reverse?

My vote is no. It looks like there has been some pretty serious polishing in that area and while you may not be able to see the flange on the G that well, the top of the G tells the story.

After further review and making some comparisons, you DO have an RDV-005 on a 1989. This could be ID by the shaping of the letters, shaping of the memorial blocks, position of FG, and shape of FG.

You can not just say it, we need a close up picture of "FG"
without turning it, please do not turn it or flip it, anything is possible, but not by the pictures given.

I am not sure, but if coopsad something it's 99% good to me, if he had the physical coin it would be 100%, that is why I would send it to Wexler for 100%. I wish coop had his own Attribution so could send it to coop, may be I would not have to wait for it 2 month to get it back.
