I just picked up another Nova on ebay. I would say just "G" or "VG". But at the price I got it for, I'm happy.

I just created a new type of coin display, I'll post a picture of it with this coin when I get it, and in the appropriate forum. No, I won't be selling them. (: Just tired of the same old displays and thought someone might like to use the idea themselves.

Don't know much about grading these, but would seem to be at least G-04.

I don't even think about grade with colonials. There are so many variables, strike, planchet quality, color etc. Nice 1-A pickup!

I'm not sure, I'll have to wait until I have it in hand. I was thinking maybe a VG-8. But yeah, I don't know how to grade these. I keep looking at so many other other examples and they all seem to be all over the place. Either way, I love em. (:

To me it's more important if I like the look of the coin than the numerical grade. Smooth surfaces, a nice chocolate brown or a little lighter color is what I like. Some issues just aren't found like that though, so sometime you take what you can get! Colonials are the most fascinating area of numismatics for me.

Thanks for the grading. Just about where I thought. And Icutler, yeah, I always go for the looks in other coins. I have lots I get just for the looks. I'm not a dealer, just a collector. But I always try and add a grade for my database software.
