Found this in register at work. Looks like it was almost a clipped planchet. No damage other than the obvious. Fits dime size clip. Just wondering if anyone has the same opinion or any different ones. Details still there in the crevice. Odd.

Looks like a big dent. Notice the bend in the coin on your 3rd picture? Not a mint error. PMD.

this was an after market hit to the obverse side in my opinion, if it was a partial clip it would show marks on both sides, and there would not be a bend in the middle..

Thank you all. It's a keeper for me. I like odd ball coins like that. Plus a teaching reference. I keep a few machine doubled coins to show people the difference between those and a real doubled die coin.

Sounds neat! Save what you like. Good examples of MD coins for new collectors are nice.
