Eisenhower Dollar Double Die REV

fish01 New Member Spain 23 Posts	Posted 01/12/2006 1:11 pm Hello, WOW, I really haven't looked to close at my Eisenhower dollars, but I've found a 1971, on the reverse, United States of America is double, slight, but noticeable. Has anyone found any data or information on this? Sure wish I could share a picture, I'll experiment with the digital...again..and maybe be able to post a pic. thanks, Fish Report this Post to the Staff

coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 01/13/2006 12:12 pm They probably aren't mentioned in any of the major guides because none of the doubled dies found so far on the Eisenhower dollars warrant attention to anyone other than specialists in the series - they are too minor and too plentiful. I venture to say that more than half of all the coins of this series I have personally seen are doubled dies to some effect. It's just that very few people study or collect them.
