This time no burnishing and no treating the coin in any way all surfaces just as they were when I got the coin. All I did was cut. I know when it comes to jewelry its not going to sell unless its shiny but I think the puzzles appeal to a different customer base.

Might I ask why?
Yes Its a coin and yes its no longer Numismatically collectible. It was not of a rare coin or even a particularly high grade. It will however no longer be hidden away in someones collection, never to see the light of day until the collection is divested. It will enjoy being viewed by the general public until such time as it finds a new home and I'm sure the new owner will get pleasure from playing with it not just looking at it. I like to think what I do to common coins draws more new collectors. The only time I do anything with rare coin is when its provided by a customer and I always explain the significance of the coin before I agree to use it.

It took my mind a minute to even process that the coin was actually cut. As a collector of coins and a lover of puzzles, this looks really cool to me.

@nohope587 -

Did you use a jigsaw or a bandsaw...? And did you collect the shavings for their silver content...?
