It is a nice looking coin, but the cost to have it graded exceeds the value in the end. Keep it if you like it!

Worth keeping, absolutely. Worth getting graded, not in my opinion.

Not for grading, but you should place it in a 2x2 flip

Nice circulation find! You're right, it's unusual to find a coin that old in that high condition in change. I wonder if somebody dumped their collection?

Thanks I'll take the advice. From what I've been watching the collectors have been putting impaired on high grade coins that are not necessarily from low mint years just hard to find ms68 for example

Right. For common, high mintage year/mm coins, they must be high grade to be worth getting graded. Generally, that threshold is MS-67 and up. In some cases, it may start at MS-68. For a raw collection, though, the example you show would be perfectly fine, not to mention being difficult to find in circulation.

I have a 1964 nickel I found in change as well that looks fresh off the mint. I'm going to load pictures soon and read about one selling at auction ms67 for a couple thousand that was in my opinion no better than mine. The difference it was professionally graded . I'm learning as I go and thank you guys for all your input.

If you found it in circulation, it can't really be graded as a MS. Post pictures anyway and show us what it looks like. Just post on a separate thread.
