Very interesting die variety, all bays exhibit doubling with bays 3-11 showing what looks to be tripleing . Extreme plating striations running both vertical and horizontally on reverse and slightly vertical on obverse. Can't match it, help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

luvmyCAM Pillar of the Community United States 1479 Posts	Posted 01/09/2019 5:42 pm I disagree, every bay on this coin displays doubling, I have 3 FS-801's so am able to discern abrasion from doubling. The pictures although armature should convey this. Report this Post to the Staff

I will experiment some more and see if a finer implement will replicate. If so the culprit should be put on coin banning! My my my Report this Post to the Staff

Reminds me of a coin that was more obviously altered before probably with a ball point pen: Just not as strong of marking on this coin. But it does appear the centers of the bays have been altered.
