Found this on the bathroom floor last nigh next to the clothes hamper(must have fallen out of a pocket). Laid it in on the desk until morning. This is what I found under the scope this morning. Any ideas, thoughts, head scratching?

Oh boy, that Ammonia has sure done a number on this poor Jeff
What you have is called Dryer Coin, it has been spinning in a commercial dryer's drum for quite sometimes.
Hope you rinsed your hand after picking it up!

Thank you for the insights. Didn't come out of my dryer, thank goodness. Still mystified how it ended up on the bathroom floor. I think I'll look at quarters or dimes for awhile...maybe even pennies. Again, thanks for the lesson. Gonna flip it and mesmerize my friends with it.

This looks more like a capped die error than a Dryer Coin to me.

Nickels are not clad also.

On a struck through a capped die, the opposite side is normal.
