In hand I think slight wear in the shock of hair coming out of ER in Liberty, and some loss of luster in the right obv field, pulls it down to AU. From what I'm seeing on Heritage to me it has better "eye appeal" than a lot of AU55-58 out there. I was mostly concerned that it might get details due to some light hairlines across the bust and above & below One Dime on the rev, but now I see that nearly every straight grade AU has them. I paid around going rate for AU53-55 (free shipping) so as long as it's not Details I'm pleased. I'm calling it AU55-58 for now. The difference between those two grades seems beyond my eyes and experience to determine. I have a PCGS 63 coming (I'm doing some research) so it will be fun to compare. Report this Post to the Staff
