1985-D And 1991 Washington Quarter Error Need Help

Second, you first coin looks like it has a scratch which follows the arc of Washington's bust before digging into his ponytail. For the '91, when I rotate, enlarge, and enhance your pic, I can only see a small scratch coming off of the mintmark. What are you seeing with the coin in hand that isn't coming through in your pics? Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 01/12/2019 10:26 am Both are circulation damage, the first coin looks like a vending machine or Coin Wrapping Machine caused the damage there, the mintmark on the second coin looks as if it took a hit.
