You're right. It is a type II. T he coin shop was off. But, since I had neither for a proof I will take it all the same.

I'm one more to visit the open bar at the wedding with the give-a-way cameras they give out for such occasions......I was just trying to move the angle slow without the shadow creeping in....I got a new holder I will attempt to get the color in a bit....full bands of color!

With a collection like yours, you should invest the time and money to build a good photo setup.

Not enough sharp detail picture information here to conclude if sharp strike or proof.
Perhaps easier to make this conclusion, if 1. take out of the 2x2 to photograph it, 2. try stronger light from a different angle.
As we look at these pictures, we are at a disadvantage compared to a TPGrader, who would hand held examine, with a 10X loupe. Perhaps that would be a better approach: get is slabbed, which would also help protect the luster.

Those old holders hide a lot of the color....just a thin layer of plastic and unrecognizable.
