I found a really crisp 1958 d cent. It is shiny. Maybe toned. Devices are nice I just don't know if it is natural or has it been altered?

Why is this posted in the error forum?
Your photos show to my eye a nice MS coin with millions of examples know - common and little numismatic value.
If you are seeing an error in all those photos - please point it out to us.

Looks like a very lightly circulated example which has toned naturally.

I am still not good at posting. Sorry. My question is about whether it was toned natural or not.

Looks nice, I assume the lines in the fields are from die polishing and not coin polishing since they stop at the devices

There is something special about this coin that others haven't noticed. 1. Where are the die cracks? 2. Where are the die chips, breaks Cuds? 3. Where is the die flow? 4. Why is he asking if it is real. What do I see that everyone else missed? This is an earlier die state coin. That is why he is asking questions about it. Often people who find these think they are doubled dies? But they are just the way an ealier die state coin should look. This is what I prefer to see. My type of coin, also a normal one, a great die state coin.

Coop, when you say Early Die State, are you saying the coin is an early striking, and a much higher clarity than later strikings ?
Also looking closely at the date, does the 9 have a die chip on it ?

Yes, and early striking FOR THAT PAIR OF DIES! They are making new dies all year long so ealry die state coins can happen all year long. Every die starts out brand new and sharp. As they are used the get more and more worn and damage can happen to them. They can crack, chip, clash, get repolished etc. Eventually when they are too worn or damaged they are retired. Sometime two new dies will be paired together and sometime one die will be retired and you will have one new die and one worn die. Coop is saying this is a pairing of two new dies and that haven't been used for very long.

Can't tell what is going on with the 9. The image is too small. But it is a keeper for sure.

I think the event on the nine in the date is a small dent.
