Over the years, we have had multiple threads with Kidarite coins presented, a few of which are linked below:

For those wishing to learn more about the Kidarites and their coinage, I recommend "The Kidarites, the Numismatic Evidence". It was written by Joe Cribb of the British Museum and an accomplished author of multiple numismatic articles and a catalog of Kushan, Kushano-Sassanian, and Kidarite coins. I downloaded my copy off of https://www.academia.edu, but I'm not 100% sure about how others might obtain a copy--perhaps start with a interwebs search.

I found the description of how early numismatists pieced together evidence of this empire fascinating.

Thanks for the info Dave. The link you provided doesn't work however. Academia is a memberships site also at $8.95 a month which is cheap if you download a lot of books.

Ok yes sorry for not being able to provide this information for free. I guess under $10 a month to be able to read these sorts of things is a pretty good deal.

Academia.edu has a free tier which does everything most would want, including downloads. The difference with the premium tier is mostly a better search capability.

Dave it's and excellent deal if you download a lot of books. Here is a link to where I was able to find a free copy along with several other papers by Joe. https://britishmuseum.academia.edu/JoeCribb

@echizento That's the same site Spence mentioned to begin with. There is no fee unless you want premium features.

Premium membership is not required to download at academia.edu. The free membership will work just fine (but they'll do their darndest to upsell). Just wanted to make that clear so as not to scare folks away from an important resource.
