I may have posted this a few years back with different images that didn't show detail, but I'm not sure. For fun, lets do it again anyway. This is one of those few in my collection where selling it never crossed my mind no matter how much I need $$ for another.

I have to believe the pretty colors and strong eye appeal took this one into the AU+ range. Say AU53 or AU55.
The technical grade would be around XF45.

I think too much wear on eagles feathers and Liberty's hair to warrant an AU, so EF45 for me too. Monster toning!

As far as a technical grade XF40 is fair. That coin is worth AU money though.
You have a special piece in that the amount of toning/color combined with the wear is very, very uncommon.

Should be 45. 40 is a little bit soft of a grade. But probably very little difference in value for a 40 vs 45 on this piece.
