martin9846 New Member Canada 4 Posts	Posted 01/14/2019 3:51 pm I just aquired this gold bar (my first one!) and can't seem to find much info on it. It seems to have a low serial number. Is it worth any more than the oz of gold? It is JM serial number 2884 and sais the trojan bar 1979 on the back. Report this Post to the Staff

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21610 Posts	Posted 01/14/2019 5:06 pm The reverse might be "rare" as it looks like it was made for some occasion but it is still a bullion bar. There are many bullion bars produced with different designs (even ebay has one with their logo on it) but it does not increase the value. There might be someone out there for whatever reason that would pay a premium for it if that trojan horse meant something to them. Report this Post to the Staff

Is there any products that go up in value after a few years? Like I could buy a bunch this year then sell in a few years that would get me a premium so I could add to my collection in Oz?
