Depending on weight. it is is under weight, then it was acid dipped. If the weight is normal, then it was heated with a torch. Or it could be both.

I think the public is getting tired of normal looking coins. I think this is their motto:

And then the coins show up here.

It etheir has been dipped in acid or torched.

To me it has more of a unrealistic bronze look.

Because of the weight not being reduced, it was heated with a torch. It's been damaged with fire. It's a spender unfortunately.

Proper weight does not disqualify an acid soak. It just means it hasn't been soaked long enough to appreciably reduce the weight.

Another possibility is rock tumbler.
