This Penny is a 64 Penny no mint mark, weighs 3.1

What makes this specific year/Penny one of the rare ones worth something? Any info appreciated!

To CCF! You have a normal Philadelphia Lincoln Memorial cent. I think you are thinking about the 1964 SMS Lincoln Memorial cent. https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...-sms-rd/3284

to CCF!

If this is a normal, business strike 1964 Philadelphia minted coin, it has no value in your coins condition. Condition is key when deciding value on a "normal" coin. It is composed of 95% copper however so it might Be worth 2 or 3 cents in copper value depending on the buyer. Again, condition plays a key role in deciding the value of a coin. This one can go back into your coin jar or copper stack (if you happen to stack copper). I reccomend checking it for any varieties or errors before you discard of it though. If you would like some website reccomendations for where to look at varieties for 1964 cents let me know, and If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Happy hunting!

I beg to differ. It is worth one cent, at a minimum, in its current state.

The two websites mentioned by @E&V are good, as is cuds-on-coins.com and error-ref.com. Of course nothing beats hanging out here on CCF and reviewing others posts for coin images and resulting consensus as to what happened.
