I can't make this up even if I tried.. so here's the links if you have a desire.

Three articles written by same Newsday Federal courts reporter (https://twitter.com/bobkessler_law?lang=en) and they're listed below in chronological order starting with the earliest:

Wow...what a sneaky family. Just think of all the innocent people the Romano's have taken advantage of over the years. It's crazy to think that this has been going on for close to 100 years with this family.

Wow, so this Joseph Romano is not the same as the Michael Romano I posted previously (sentenced to 20 years for an identical coin scam). Joseph would be born in 1963 and Michael in 1967. Yet no hint of a family connection in any of these articles. Gee, I wonder what _their_ kids will do for a living. I love the part where Joseph is all remorseful at his sentencing, then tries to take out hits on the judge and prosecutor. Let's work up some movie titles. I'm thinking "The Coinfather" (3 parts). The Wolf of Coin Street?

... now I'm late for work.

Aside: Yeah, this could be a movie.

Interesting information. Looks like this would make a great TV story.
