I have my idea but seeing what others might say. Bought it mostly for the reverse. I'm also wondering if I should acetone it or leave it alone. There's some crud buried in the corn cob but I've never used acetone before.

Between AU-53 and 55 . You can use acetone but I don't think it will help .

Thanks T-BOP. I'm more concerned about acetone hurting rather than helping. Like if that black chunk in between the husks magically disappears, am I left with a bright silver streak in there? I guess I can test on some junk.

I agree with T-BOP obverse.
Reverse probably a bit better,
due to many more high points of the same height protecting each other, and the field from minor nicks and scratches.

That is why coins have rims, that is, to protect the legends.

Actually, I think it is a rather nice Barber, acetone or no acetone. Barbers saw lots of circulation, and this one seems to have escaped most of it.

Thanks, I was originally thinking the leaf/hair left of the eyebrow was a bit too flat for AU55 but it might squeak in. I paid midway between EF45 and AU50 price so I'd be happy with AU50 (my original guess), and AU55 is a bonus. So yes, T-BOP nailed it I guess. Hard to find these that aren't slick or way overpriced.
