sounds about right. There looks to be a corrosion spot near the right stalk and between the N and T of CENT on the reverse as well as one under Lincoln on the obverse.

Pretty much agree, 62BN or maybe 63, some small issues.

Not sure if it is the photo or if dirt/grime really exists. Believe this is an AU coin with the hopes of somebody paying MS money.....just because of the hints of color peaking out.

Agree, it's a slider. I'd like it in an AU-58 holder though. That's probably where it belongs. What is the luster like? Does it have full cartwheels on both sides? Look for thin spokes, especially in the obverse fields. On an AU coin the spokes will diffuse a little in the fields fattening them out.

First thanks everyone, the reason I haven't responded until now was because I wanted to get a full round of thoughts on this coin. My personal grade on the coin was AU-58. There is luster coming through as you can see in the shots but as BadThad pointed out when I look for full cartwheel luster I'm not seeing it. There is not a lot of 'crud' or dirt on this coin. It's a real beauty but I'm not sure it would make Mint State. I feel it belongs in that AU-58 range...

Surely a conflict of interest . Very controversial issue . I'm willing to lower my grade to a 62BN .

Quote: There is luster coming through as you can see in the shots I don't see a speck of luster, that would involve some cartwheel spokes. I do see some red, if that's what you mean, but patches of red are not luster.
