I'm looking to find the difference between NJ-885-A-1a and NJ-885-A-2a. Both made of the same material and have the same die combination but 1a is listed as R-9 while 2a is listed as R-2. I am using the U.S. Civil War Store card book 3rd edition. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

I have the Whitman Red Book of CWT from 2013, and it only lists NJ-885-A-1b Rev 28210. Guess the 2b has reverse 28220, but I could not find them.

Ok, this site http://www.tokencatalog.com does list them and have pictures, but I could not make them larger to compare.
Looks like the "OIL CLOTHS" on the 2b is flatter than the angle of the 1b version

search for titus, and they are top of second page

Thank you Fuzzy317 for the info! Is the Red Book you have specifically for CWTs? And thanks for the link to the token catalog.....that will definitely come in handy. Here is the page from the Fuld book....it shows 1a and 2a having the same die combos.....confusing! Apologies for the poor photo quality.

I Was Very Frustrated on this, so I picked up the Phone and Called Steve Hayden the Civil War Token Expert, and he explained that its a Typo. The Token is Virtually always on Brass, its the Copper Version that would be incredibly Rare. The Typo is that is not a 2a, but a 1b. The R-2 is the token on Brass and the R-9 is the token on copper. So the two listings in the Fuld book should read 1a and 1b, Not 1a and 2a.
