I recently inherited a tin full of older pennies from my deceased grandfather, and while going through them I stumbled onto this oddity.

I am not getting my Hope's up, but, it would be nice to gather some second opinions or thoughts.

Thanks!

Not really an oddity, see this quit frequently on this forum.
The Lincoln Cent has just been plated with something.
Does nothing to to add to the value.

If it weighs 0.93g it's rare. If not it's not. Have a local jeweler weigh it for you.

An incredible number of 1974-D cents apparently were chromed by a plating company for a trade show in Denver. We received them in change at least weekly for better than a year.
