Spanish Netherlands. 1 Oord Felipe II But Date Looks Wrong !

Weight approx 5.1g, diameter approx 25mm BUT...the 8 and 9 underneath the portrait, with a "wine goblet" shape between just does not seem to fit anything I can find. paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 01/18/2019 11:03 am Looks good to me. Weight is a bit under but this is a very worn coin, diameter is fairly close. There was a design change in May 1589 resulting in die variations. Minting was done at Maastricht and 's-Hertogenbosch (Bois-Le-Duc) What you see is not a wine goblet, but a tree, indicating Bois-Le-Duc mint; Maastricht's mark was a star, both derived from their respective coats of arms. 1589 - Statenoord (Liard) - Philip II Ref.
