63-64? Nice luster. Hair above the ear is worn, bag marks on cheek and rev. obv. fields. Nice coin!

Enough damage to downgrade it for me. I'm hard pressed to say 58/60.

It could just be the picture but while I see shine I see no actual mint luster. In my opinion, AU details cleaned (whizzed)/

OK, maybe not a 64 (more like 62 maybe 63) but not whizzed. I had to switch cameras on this one.

I see no pics from the OP to start the thread, but agree this doesn't seem like the coin that is discussed above.

Yes - same coin, same light source - different cameras. Top pictures with a 16MP camera, second set of pictures with my old 5MP.

I had it at MS64. wouldn't pay 64 money due to the dig on obverse though.

That grading company and a sordid but interesting past. I would crack it out to inspect and wouldn't trust the grade on that holder.

Thanks SilverDollar - I bought this at least 15 years ago - price was 75$ - Should I pop it or just leave it in that crappy slab? I know Mike says pop it but?
