Not sure if this is post mint damage or some kind of strike through. I weighed it, it is copper. Thank you for looking.

That looks like Post Strike Damage ( PSD) to me.

I agree it seems altered after strike. What does the reverse look like? Thanks, Doug.

It looks like it (mostly) survived a school chemistry lab experiment. Copper can be dissolved with Nitric Acid, with some fairly dangerous results (Nitrogen Dioxide gas, which can be deadly). Your coin looks like it was on the receiving end of a drop of Nitric Acid.
