Hello,
Is this a Close AM Variety? And thus an error?
Thanks

That's normal for that year. The Wide AM's only exist on the 1998, 1999, and 2000 Philadelphia Lincoln Memorial Cents only. The Wide AM's are the ones you want to look for. Your coin is worth face value. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/wideams.html

So this is not an image of a Wide AM Lincoln Cent? Would this then be a Close AM?
Thank You

Correct for 1999. Close AM. When looking for wide or close AMs, You don't look at the distance between the 'AM' You look for the location of the 'M' between the AME area:

Note how the Wide AM is has the 'M' centered. Note how the Close AM has the 'M' to the left. (Same also on the 'A' on states. So is it centered or of to the left side. That is what to look for on these.
