I found this over 6 mths ago and I have looked through hundreds of 71 proof sets and looked at thousands of 71s on ebay and havent seen another one like this. Should I send in to get attributed? It has a "6" or "g" punched to the far right on the bottom of the Jefferson image on his coat.

Looks to me like it has been struck through something.
Can't be from when it was minted as it would have to be raised
on the die in which case there would be thousands of them out there.
Technically this would be a defect on a proof coin.

I took this out of a sealed proof set so had to be something that happened between minting and packaging.

I am going to take it out of the 2x2 and look closer cause I THINK it is raised. I know it doesn't look like it from the pictures. I will lightly run my fingernail over it(probably destroy it in the process) and see if I can tell.

Looked at a few on Heritage, all seem to have a rough spot down in that corner. Probably just "eye tricks", whatever the fancy name for that is.
