It's on the right hand side of the "o" but I'm at a loss. Can anyone help me identify it? Could it be a mistake, or worse, a forgery? Please let me know if you've insight into what this is. Any help provided would be much appreciated. I have a limited time to return it. Edited by Baastacoin 01/20/2019 2:46 pm

Here's a different pic: Looking at it, it's on the lower right hand of the "o"

All I see is a small ding from circulation, possible. Can you post full pics of both sides of the coin?

Is that linear mark on the O raised?

Ok, here are different additional pics of: (1) the obverse (2) the reverse (3) Another close up of the "o" with less light And then (4-7) close-ups of the obverse in sections If there are more needed pics, please let me know. And maybe a tutorial on how to take good pics and use of light—if you still can't see it.

After seeing your feedback, I think this might be a VAM-4? Based on the shape of the 8 in 1880 and the teardrop on the lower right portion of the "o". Are there any other clarifying features I can look for?
Thank you all for your help. You've been helpful and patient.

Personally, I need bigger, upright pics. I take my pics and use simple edit to make the file 295-300k. Bigger, the site won't accept them, much smaller and you get tiny pics. Just my 2 cents, I'm still trying to get good pics up/viewable. So far for me, cheap DSLR camera and natural sunlight. I *almost* want to say coin is cleaned/dipped but I'm not an expert. That's why you need better pics. :-)
