Two different subjects. Machine Doubling happens after the coin is struck. The machine damages the fresh new devices by reducing them because of die movement after the strike. Very common to find.
Ghosting can be used also two ways. But I think you are talking about the reverses of the coins:

Just some Die Deterioration Doubling. You see the grain of the metal going towards the rim.
