I like any old(pre-1850) coins, but I love gold coins. With Terry's (crystalk64) help I am now beginning to collect Gold coins from other countries. It's a great big world out there! Mike

Currently, my most favorite coin type is all of them I am working on a 19th/20th century Dansco type album, only 20 coins to go! After that, I will probably build a BU Franklin set as I already have several lying around in flips and 2x2s

"No one ever remembers to include the poor old 2 Cent coins in these lists" I just rigured that feel into cents, just like I din't put Half Dime, or 3 pieces, or 20 cent pieces, I didn't feel I needed to list every type

Sorry, Richard. You have to admit, though, that they weren't minted for very long.... I like Bust Halves. Still the most striking design ever put on a coin in my opinion.

I enjoy variety cents most. I have been working on a set of Alaskan Bingles for a while now.

I voted for gold coins and I do collect and trade many of them. My real favorite though are ancient coins, especially the really nice condition ones. Greek gold is just amazing. Bright silver Roman Imperial coins make great conversation pieces when shown to non-collectors. Everybody thinks they should be worth thousands of dollars. LOL

2 Cents may not have been minted for very long but just try putting together a variety collection. Minting was not what it should have been and there are many double dies rotated dies and cracked dies out there. Dies were used much longer than their intended life span me thinks...
