I just won my first European medieval (?) silver coin in a relative cheap bid and I have no idea what this is. Am I lucky or really stupid for buying it? Anyone willing to help me out here? 0,64 gm Thanks in advance,

@MetzKaj, that is a very interesting coin, lots of sharp detail on the main devices, but some of the legends lost around the edges. I am pretty sure someone here will recognize that unusual coat of arms and be able to ID it.

According to the seller there's an eagle on the obverse. It looks fantastic, but maybe a bit too "fantastic' for a medieval coin? I have never seen anything like this before. I really hope experts on medieval coins are able to decipher it.

If that is an eagle then clearly the overstrikes etc is making quite a hard job of this. They are overstrikes correct?

I have literally no idea. As the obverse is a big mess of details I would say yes? Normally I wouldn't dare to even think about buying medieval European coins as I have zero knowledge in this field, but I couldn't resit this one. Can anyone decipher the text on the reverse? Is this style of coat of arms typical for a certain area (country) and/or period?

Thanks @louisvillekyshop! We might as well conclude that this one is either a fake or a fantasy coin. I learned this lesson the hard way. Is there any way to report these sellers (with success)?

If you see a coin he has, that is not real and you can make a great and easy case it is not, report the listing. One by one you can have more success that way if that is your goal to report a seller. Look up great examples of the Judean coins and compare to the suspect ones, then only report a single listing and explain why you are quite sure etc.

If there is a good chance it is a fake (no wonder I didn;t recognize the shield), you can return it. ebay generally favors buyers. If you want an inexpensive medieval coin from ebay, search on Hungary denar. There are a lot of choices from 12th to 16th century.
