Got this at my business yesterday and we are not sure if it is fake or not. Feels good but just above the word Federal on front there is a small line printed. I have never seen this before and I can't find any pics of full sheet.

It's real.
If you still think it's fake please put it, along with any others you find, into an envelope and mail them to me. I'll see that they get disposed of properly!

I also agree with the others. It appears real....you just don't see as many small-head $20s in circulation as we used to.

Thank you, I actually am in the middle of an argument over this with my partners. 2 of us are of the opinion it's real and one of us thinks it's not. The only real issue I see is that weird line and some smudging on the left hand signature. Smudge might just be a greasy thumb print.

That's some sort of alignment mark, fairly common. Genuine for sure.

The black line at the top above the word "Federal" is a printers align mark. Perfectly normal to see those on older notes. The yellowish stains in the left field area and left margin are from Counterfeit Detection pens being used on the note to check for authenticity. You spend one of these older notes today and most retail clerks look at you like your some kinda crook or idiot. Your note is perfectly fine and is still "legal tender for all debts....public and private" .... (just like it says in small black letters above the black Federal Reserve Bank seal on the left side of the note!)

But don't try spending it at the increasing number of fashionable eateries that no longer accept cash!

Well, actually it's going in the bank deposit so I guess we will find out what the bank says about.

If your bank won't take it then it's time to find a new bank!
