I have a 1969 Kennedy half dollar weighing 11.72 grams. Is that within tolerance? It's also turning a yellowish color.

Good pictures! ! They look like normal circulated halves to me. The yellowish color is normal circulation/toning from the environment it's been subject to. Give them an acetone bath. Lightly wipe the surface with an acetone saturated Q-tip. The one with mint luster should clean up nicely. Nice find!

Post pictures of the results after the acetone bath. Remember, do not scrub them. Very lightly with a saturated Q-tip.
