This was one of the coins we found that was noticeably "off" compared to the others. The rim appears to be missing on one part and the coin is slightly misshapen. When stacked on other dimes, it's the slightest bit bigger at the point underneath IGWT. It appears to have a flattened appearance but as you can see it's not flattened at all, in fact it almost looks thicker.

@MA, yes I agree that the rim is mostly missing on this coin. It was worn away, either on purpose or through normal wear and tear as it would not have left the mint that way.

to CCF. Please rotate photos properly before posting in future posts. 1985 dimes are known for that anomaly. If you use the search box,upper left of page you will find a lot more info on this subject.

Probably 50 times last year questions were posted on both the Philly and the Denver dimes this year.
